Hey I'm back!!

I nv got the time to blog. Things are moving too fast ever since I got married. Or rather things got very busy. Well still trying catch up with my own life, enjoying every little time I have with kai. So far so good, I'm still alive!!

Many things happened, many emotions & thoughts! Too many to verbalise them. Felling the pressure.. Got a heavy heart.

It's April, can't believe it. The month of make-it-or-break-it. Hang on ivory!

i dont feel Christmas coming this year.
i had not done ANY christmas shopping.
im sorry my friends,i really have no time.
things are different this year, way different.
for those who know, please pray together with me.
im tired..its really not easy juggling everything.
i need to just vet it out. I HATE "POH LENG TENG".
im fighting against time. i need to learn to manage
2009 has not been easy for me since June.
but GOD is still great and I still want to trust in HIM.
all things may fail, but not GOD.
everyone disappoints, but not GOD.
a few days to end of the year, to welcoming 2010.
mixed feelings.. greater responsibility to come.
stretched in more ways. i need to grow up.
GOD, give me grace. The joy of the Lord is my strength.

i dun update my wedding blog these days cos... i've never done anything recently! GOSH! and it's 87 more days!! well, it seems like its a long time down the road, but seriously more than 20 days has passed since I started to count down from 100! the next time i blog will be another 20 days later, and another 20, another 20...that takes 4 more blogs to reach the BIG DAY! ok, now i'm scaring myself! i dun have time! let me see, what have i used my time for.. erm, erm, erm, WorK!? I CANT WAIT FOR OUR HONEYMOON! for now, back to earth..

had a great saturday morning with sista at spruce
had a hearty breakfast, which may burn a hole in the heart and pocket
nonetheless had a great time with her
with 3 more months to go..sharing the room, having dramatic nights
will definitely miss her, and her uproar when i go to bed early
she will definitely miss me more, her alarm clock is gone
and thereafter we both will lead a different life; i taking a bigger step. HUGE one

had the worst 2 days of my life
i never had food poisoning before, its terrible
vomit, diarrhoea, vomit, diarrhoea
so weak to even walk to the doc
had wedding dinner the night before
i threw out the last dish glutinous rice to the first cold dish
but i dun think its the dinner, must be the lunch at the hawker
'thanks' to this ordeal, i lost weight, my tummy is flat, its scary
i need chicken!!!!!! i miss good food!!!!!

a great encounter on sun.
i havent been ministered like this during a svc for a long time
luckily i was not on svc duty =P
a word in season, i've been encouraged, strengthen.
i will not be confuse. He is still good.
it is always easy to say and confess...
the real test comes when you are send forth back to the challenge to face it.
i want to overcome it.
thanks to great friends who stood by me, who did not give up on me.

i feel like a volcano, waiting to spurt out my lava.
but its just stuck. why? cos im just too kind. i'm too considerate for others.
in turn, i dont get the same consideration or kindness. seriously!
"with friends like that, you really do not need enemies"
this sentence never apply in my life till now.
for those who know me, im someone who hates conflicts, i dont like to bother people, or make them uncomfortable.
i will just bottle it all.
please! if you are not going to help me, fine.. dont make matters worse.
if you dont know my position, dont judge me. im not perfect.
come be in my position. if you think you can do better, fine.
if it really isnt for anything, it is because i dont want to give up.

came back from a great trip with kai to bintan. we stayed at a great villa, we had an awesome time! really appreciate the serenity and chance to just RELAX! love the sun, sand and sea!

we tried the ATV. the guide lead us through the forest, along the beautiful beach, to a cliff with the sea surrounding us. it was breath-taking! most "memorable" experience is when i fell off the vehicle after crashing into a tree on an attempt to drive down the slope; left me with scratches and a big bruise on my leg. oh plus almost 12 mosquito bites....gosh!

this is the most adventurous trip for us as a couple together! we did snorkeling too! LOL, i can't used to the gear and found myself struggling a few times. after a while, i manged to get the hang and we went quite far off to see school of small fishes and corals and erm, seaweed. it wasn't the best but was good enough for us on our first attempt :)

im missing the time we have.. just lazing at the beach and pool, walking down the beach during sunrise and sunset, catching hermit crabs and small lobsters.. sigh....

well, the most disappointing thing is that all our pictures were lost, due to a fault in the card reader which locked the memory card. wishing we can try to retrieve them. sob sob... took alot of beautiful pics.. for now, the fond memories will be in my head forever.

the next trip will be our honeymoon nxt year. cant wait for another vacation, with work so crazy everyday!

God is indeed good and faithful! we are just so so so blessed by our families and wonderful friends around us. Your well-wishes, love, presence and love offerings which exceed more than we can think or imagine of. My in-laws covered our lunch and dinner which we were supposed to treat them. Our ROM was just a very simple event, yet our rings was almost 50% settled just by your love gifts! All the while, we are worried about the expenses and all. God is just using this special day to show me that HE really provides.

thank you all once again. and to HIM, who is the greatest love i've ever known.

thr were 16 loved ones who came to support our special day
who took their time off, we are really blessed by their presence

yay! God has been good. now rings and bridal package settled. now left with the auspicious date*, guest list, holy mat and banquet availability.

*there wasn't supposed to be one. both sets of parents WERE ok with any date we like. now they sing a different tune. we shall go with it, to save ourselves a lifetime of nagging. =P

other than wedding, there are some good news that came quite unexpectedly and such opportunities always pop at the same crossroads that i face at some point of my life. i figure it is good, but erm it can be not so good. i am being yee now, speaking in parables. shall elaborate when it really happens.

till then, im still busy at work, frustrated with some issues. life still goes on.. and ivory is still happy.

today's msg was powerful. power of agreement.

it helped me and kai alot. basically the two of us are pretty opposite in character and sometimes we do have moments of disagreements which sometimes are quite hilarious :). we learn along the way to communicate with one another, compromise and REALLY mould each other. LOL.

* good news, we finally got the ballot of our flat @Lakeside!! keep us in prayers as we go for our appt on 18th. it came after 5 months!! and we thought we never will get the chance.

at first we are still hesitant about the place, 50% for & 50% against it. after a long day @JW, on our way back, the thought of receeing the neighbourhood just came up. i'm glad we did! walked around, amenities check, transport check. finally have the peace of God :) im excited!

still have alot of stuff to settle. loft 50% done. banquet 50% decided. other miscellanous items still on the checklist. i have this mixture of excitement and gan-cheong-ness :P. came across some new blogs of married couples who are now blogging about their little ones. omg... to think i'll be in the phase to come.

till then, will update again.

for now... im STILL having the 3 gigantic ulcers. the worst of all time. one thing im thankful of it is that it's helping me in my controlled diet, cos simply no appetite to eat much. YES, I AM WORKING TO SLIM DOWN. has been doing toning, feasting on salads and low-carb meals. wheee i can feel slight improvements. *jiayou ivory*

marley & me wasnt too disappointing, jus that it skipped through his growing-up years and that didnt allow the audience to connect to marley. it was more of ME & marley. overall, there is definitely alot of heart in there and the ending was so heart-wrenching. too bad im confined in the theatre, if not i would have sob out loud, instead of controlling my tears, only allowing it to trickle down my cheeks. the best part- the guy beside me stared at me at every moment i raised my tissue to dab my little pipe. oh c'mon!!

cant believe i brought work home, trying to do it manually instead of the programme in office. just want to try out a solution in the peace of my home, without any phone calls or emails screaming for urgent information or meetings. after all the head cracking in office. . . and i did it! at least 70% is settled. just need to tie some loose ends (hopefully everything goes on as planned, as i wished to be) and i can complete everything by sat!

had my first trip to marina barrage on sat, beautiful scenery in the night- the city lights, flyers and vast water. i love the great space too. you do not have to worry about squeezing with strangers like in town.

went with my big extended family+family frens+boyfriends= 28 of us. we had a picnic in the late evening- sushi, pizza, salad, sausages, rice & bee-hoon, log cake, turkey ham.. yum! my uncle brought along his portable outdoor bench. it was quite a sight.. somebody actually came over to our table and asked if the food was on sale!

its a one-of-a-kind dining experience. we were just in front of the flyer, beautiful view. many stars blanketed our time of makan and laughter. but the wind was so strong, we had to make sure our plates and food don't fly. we had hair flying in our mouths that we thought was unchewable bee-hoon. still, it was totally enjoyable!

had an lovely walk with kai. we have been so busy, never really stop and just enjoy each other's company.

christmas family gathering this year is simple yet priceless.

wat goes around, comes around

nixi and i were playing around in the kitchen (yes we play together =])
she decided to take a big gulp of water, hold it in her mouth and be a merlion
she tried to aim at me and did splurted the water out.
well while running away from this mess
she slipped on the puddle of water that she created

the water's on you.

nixi and i were on the sofa.
im thristy but lazy to walk to the kitchen to get my cup
i asked nixi for hers but she dont want to make my life easier
so she finished her drink in a single gulp.
now imagined her with the ya-ya face as if saying, "i finished my drink, get your own"
swiftly overturned her cup to prove its empty.

well, dear nixi is not sitting uprightly, slightly lying on her back
with that posture, you cant drink to the bottom of the cup and you wont know it.
SO..apparantly she didnt finish her drink
AND nixi got drenched.

she poured water on herself, just to motivate me to get my own drink. so sacrifical of her. aww..

It was from my mum. Hmmm, how and why would my mum call me? Silence on the other end, I was a little worried something might happened to her. But I put down and went back to sleep.

Call 2 at 7.20am:-
Phone rang again. It was from Jurong East St.62 Police Post*! I was petrified! Something really happened to my mum! Nixi was blowing her hair, preparing for school.. I asked her to switch it off and be quiet.

There was silence again, then nixi's muffled laughter.

Apparently, my dear joker sister went to change her name to "Jurong East St.62 Police Post" in my phone! GOSH! *Hit forehead*

this is how nixi can be so irritatingly playful.

*if you gasped with shock at this point, think again. why would my phone have registered the police post number?? its ok, everyone whom i told the story to, also got worried at this point. LOL

my birthday celebration started from Friday 4pm plus, with the cake delivered to my office from jaime and gang.

then a great dinner at aburiya with kai. wagyu beef is awesome, slurpp! Afterwhich he suggested to head to HV for dessert. who koes??!! upon boarding the bus, lo and behold, I saw my dear sis. So coincidental! she claimed to be heading home, but wait…. bus 61 doesn't reach my plc! she fessed up supposedly to surprise me at HV! its so funny when she was caught in the act! she keep saying she was going home.

halfway through our supper (nixi's dinner), my dearest dearest friend, claire turned up!!! So sweet of her to do so, rushing from school, and she's a busy woman. TOUCHED!

at midnight, we head to 2am dessert bar. the place is fantatistic! the décor, the ambience, the service, and the food! when we stepped in, we didn’t need to look at the menu or ordered anything. the beautifully-crafted desserts just came! guess what, prior to meeting us, claire had popped by the place to place orders specially for moi!

when we asked for the bill, we were told the bill had been settled. how often did you get that!!!! by claire!!!
and all these happened before 2am of my actual bday! Ivory was a happy girl.

all thanks to nixi who made the arrangements.
on the actual day itself, went to red star to have dim sum with my family. just a simple outing, love it!

on the sat afternoon, we had a zone outing at henderson waves. was a tiring walk from henderson waves to villa bali (in fact, kai & i walked the course twice!) but I enjoyed myself totally, with kai, richard & kedy and other new-found friends from other cgs. we had a lot of fun, taking photos, completing the tasks of the walk.and ultimately sabo-ing kai to piggyback me while barefoot on the foot reflexology path! test of true love, muahahaha :P

at the end of the outing, everyone at the outing (a lot of people I didn’t know!) sang me a bday song! so sweet! afterwhich, we head to villa bali with yee, charlene and joshua. enoyed the simple chill and relax time, and I so resisted the fatal lychee martini!!

all in all, my beloved group 16 rounded my bday on sunday with a simple dinner, surprise brownie, chill out @Loft…it was a crazy time with all of them. thanks for the presents, really really appreciate it a lot a lot a lot! It was great hearing those who shared at the bus-stop, lets run this race together, keep on keeping on! :)

turning 26 was more exciting than any birthdays. im not shy about my age.
but the thought of 4 more years to 30, NOW that is scary.

because of these beautiful friends.
because of kai.
ivory is blessed.

im so glad i caught the ever first night F1 race (on tv la). its magnificant! all the unexpected dramas and changes to the lead add on to the adrenaline-pumping atmosphere. sob my heart goes out to Massa...

maybe next year can aim the tickets. =P at least i get to be near the circuit, hearing and seeing the cool racers whiz past on friday! woohoo!

the trip's fantabulous!
and it was very revelational.. from the bird hatching its egg outside our hotel window to the beggers on the street.

chanced upon Making the Cut on cable. in this episode, they feature Vidal Sassoon Academy. the academy decides to give back to the community and what best way to do so- to donate hair for kids who lose their hair due to medical conditions! check out http://www.wigsforkids.org/.

when the creative director walked by the row of customers asking for someone looking for a big makeover, willing to donate their long natural hair to Wigs for Kids . . . a 8-year old girl volunteered without any hestitation. she wants to do her part in helping.

one of the sick kids who went for a wig fitting was featured. you could see the beam in her face. the pure joy. the hope. the confidence to play in a piano recital. it was so heartwarming.

1. the merlion dress. what else to say. every year it's so hideous.

2. i was with a few other girlfriends hanging outside the MALE changing room waiting for our boyfriends. *note: we are just randomly standing around, not in a line/queue.* so when other guys want to do a fitting, they naturally thought we are in the queue and stopped short of going into the MALE changing rooms. i have to gesture to one- 'please go ahead'.
